The way cheesemaker turned peacemaker Alex James has attempted to bring the faaaamily together like pop's own East end matriarch is admirable, and it might finally be paying off. Alex revealed while filming the new Channel 4 talent show MobileACT that the four members of Blur were about to tentatively step out to get some tucker together.
"We are having lunch on Monday which is nice, I’m not sure where. If we can all agree on where to have lunch that will be a very good start," he told Gigwise.
But he was no committal about what might be achieved by the meeting:
"God knows, God knows, but it will be the first time the four of us have met for a good few years.
"I don’t think we’d do that reforming and playing ‘Parklife’ anymore, I don’t know if Damon and Graham would be up for that. Mind you it’s a good song…what the fuck."
