Three-piece purveyors of stripped-back Rock'n'Roll and surrealist narrative pop, The Wave Pictures release new single I Love You Like A Madman on 10th March.

With a debut album due on Moshi Moshi in April, this single perfectly distills The Wave Pictures' untouched and uncontrived Garage Band take on classic Rock'n'Roll, Country and Blues.  Above all 'indie-soul' riffing, doo-wop brass, and not-quite-observational lyrics of a nicotine deprived Christmas vie for attention.

Recorded in the basement studio of The Duke Of Uke music shop on Hanbury Road, East London, The Wave Pictures debut album for Moshi, ‘Instant Coffee Baby’, is comprised largely of live takes; with overdubs reserved for the odd backing vocal, violin, brass or guest appearance.  Here is the simple spacious recording of early blues and country records and the essential Garage band 'roots pop' of the Crickets.  The Wave Pictures allow their twisted love songs to evoke the grubby romance within the very fabric of English life, and bask in the invigorating quality of youth
