Offset are very pleased to announce GANG OF FOUR as headliner for the main stage. The band join fellow post-punk legends Wire along with new bands influenced by them, including The Maccabees, Young Knives, Metronomy, Chrome Hoof and many more.
Gang of Four formed in 1977 and released their debt album in 1979. They went on to become one of the most important bands in post-punk with the likes of REM, The Rapture, Liars, Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party citing the band as a major influence. Flea of Red Hot Chilli Peppers has stated that Gang of Four were the single most important influence on his band.
Gang of Four are famed for their taut, urgent, incendiary performances. Their last appearance saw founders Jon King and Andy Gill joined on stage by Klaxons' drummer Mark Heaney and David Bowie's Gail-Ann Dorsey. Their performance was hailed as incredible with the Telegraph stating "no one makes music like this any more".
