In case you hadn't heard, Kele from Bloc Party released a statement the other day claiming The Sex Pistols beat him up in a racially motivated attack backstage at a festival in Barcelona last weekend.
John Lydonresponded by calling Kele a liar. Now Super Furry Gruff has corroborated Kele's story in an interview with MTV.
“Kele is a very brave man and what he said is exactly what happened," he said. "The statements Kele has said are absolutely true. It did happen.”
Rhys, currently touring with his Mercury Award-nominated side project Neon Neondescribed the attack as "horrific".
