Former PlayLouder (with the capital L) editor Iain Moffat's favourite drab indie band have won the Mercury Music Prize, beating 4 time nominees Radiohead, Estelle, Neon Neon and a bunch of other unlucky swine.
The band win twenty (20) thousand pounds. Which is what people who win the Mercury have been winning since it started, right? Surely these poor struggling musicians deserve a raise? Split that thang five ways and you've barely enough to get a celebratory round in. Sheet.
