Has James Murphy been pissing on George Pringle’s chips or is she just getting the wrong messages from the liquid crystal on her 24 hour clock, which is no doubt pumping out a crackled conversation from ‘Woman’s Hour’?

We simply don't know. What we do know is that George Pringle is gearing up for a long-overdue single release for the playfully-named live favourite ‘LCD I <3 You But You’re Bringing Me Down’.

You know, the one that goes: “No more math rock... / Guitar an extension of your cock… / I don’t seem to dance much anymore!”

Probably your second or third favourite George Pringle song.

And now there’s a video! Released recently via one of Pringle’s ten million blogs, it was filmed in Italy and features lots of religious artefacts, a metronome, a polar bear rug, a piano, George Pringle sitting at the piano and playing, badly, George Pringle giving up the piano and opting for the much more admirable pastime of riding a bike (a bit spazzily) and staggering around a field to dizzy synth and mega-autobeatz courtesy of her magical MacBook, George Pringle looking fed up with a hairclip – then looking perturbed with a candle, then being terrorised by people in masks, then dancing on a polar bear rug, then dancing with the masked people. And there’s a poster of an old film on the wall.

Sorry, I hope I haven’t ruined it for you. Anyway, it’s a brilliant pop song and, chances are, you hate it. Out some time in November on Trouble Records.
