Alex James' Blue [Cheese] Monday

Fingerfarming cheesemaker and bog standard conductor Alex James (formerly a musician) has named his latest cheese after Hook's most popular twelve inch. (No, not Captain Hook - Peter Hook)

"It's very moist, very gooey, spicy with quite a mellow flavour with sweet notes," said Alex James. But he was unavailable for comment on either the cheese or the New Order song, 'Blue Monday'.

Alex James' most popular cheese with the critics was (no, not 'Stereotypes') a stinky little nugget called Fairleigh Wallop.

Rumours that Farleigh Wallop was a little-known Stone Roses B-side are expected to begin circulating...

Now.

Speaking to the Gloucestershire Echo, the floppy-fringed self-parody said:

"Our first goats cheeses Little Wallop and Farleigh Wallop are niche cheeses, not a big hit single as we hope Blue Monday will be.

"Blue cheeses, which take six to eight weeks to develop, and we were working on a triple cream cheese. Most people would take 18 months to two years to release a new cheese but Blue Monday came through."
