This is probably the best news ever.
As revealled by axeman JD Tait on the Meads' MySpace yesterday, Britains greatest ever metal band The Meads of Asphodel have been namedropped by a particularly savvy robot in long-running 2000 AD comic strip 'ABC Warriors'.
According to Tait it was the robot named Deadlock who brought them up, in a discussion involving Sunn O))), Black Sabbath and Brutal Truth - though it looks to me like it was Joe Pineapples. Any clarification on this matter from the nerds amongst you would be appreciated.
"The Meads of Asphodel are honored" said JD Tait.
