Patrick Wolf is not dead!
FACT!
Dude is actually alive and in love and putting out a double album.
Half of which is a collaboration with Atari teenage Riot leader Alec Empire called Battle.
Wolf told the NME the Empire shit is "punky" and "aggressive", while the other half is lighter in tone.
The Battle stuff was recorded in Berlin some months back, and concerns depression.
"I was having to play songs about a past relationship, I'd been through
three management changes, I was breaking up, going insane," said Wolf.
"I reveled in my depression and began attacking politics and the people
around me. It's an aggressive noise punk record."
As for the "light" stuff, that's all the fault of Wolf's new boffage.
"I've found my true love, who has practically saved my life," he
swooned. "That's in contrast to the inspiration for 'Battle', which was
me thinking, 'Will I ever be in love again or will I be a bachelor for
the rest of my life?'"
