Heroically rotten rockers Motley Crüe are to reform and play shows together next year! The band's orginal line-up of Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars will play together for the first time since 1999 in a series of dates across Europe, including a jaunt through the UK. Dates are still to be confirmed.

Since their last split in 1999, the band have enhanced their notorious reputation by releasing the genital-warts-and-all biography 'The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band', which relates such charming tales as getting a teenage groupie to call her mum... While speaking into a phone lodged somewhere up her best chum's chuff. Nice.

In more Crüe news, guitarist Mick Mars this week underwent hip replacement surgery as a treatment for the degenerative condition Ankylosing Spondylitis, from which he had been suffering from some time.
