Speculation is mounting that Damon Dash's Roc-A-Fella empire is to be sold to a major label. Dash is said to be in talks with Universal music group, who are apparently ready to cough up as much as $10 million for the label.
When PlayLouder attended a Roc-A-Fella press conference but weeks ago Dash had been full of beans about the label, especially with regard to the signing and nurturing of new artists, and developing links with the UK. How much he was keeping under his natty baseball cap, we do not know.
Only last week, Dash branched out into the music download market, with the launch of his own version of the iPod. More on this story as soon as we get it.
