Soon you Brits out there will be able to booze and fight and spew at every hour of the day - but far better than that, Carling are to reprise last year's 24-hour gigs in London and Manchester. The event kicks off at 07:00 on Saturday April 30th with an early bird performance by The Departure at the Barfly. Then, at the more sensible time of 11:00, Kaiser Chiefs, The Rakes and 10,000 Things play the Islington Academy before Babyshambles do a curfew-avoiding matinee performance with Willy Mason and The Paddingtons at ULU.
Embrace, The Subways and Editors have the early evening slot at Shepherds Bush Empire, after which you should head down to Brixton to catch the marvellous mix-up of The Zutons, LCD Soundsystem and Soulwax before a big ol'after-party knees up at Bug Bar, where 2manydjs will, DJ.
The action then heads up the M1 and M6 to Manchester on Saturday May 28th, where I Am Kloot kick things off at 07:00 at The Roadhouse, with Doves and Longview playing at 11:00 at The Ritz. Elbow then serve afternoon tea at the Blueprint Studios, before The Chemical Brothers and LCD Soundsystem bang it up 20:00-style at the Apollo. Ian Brown and Dead 60s then finish the evening in style at the Academy. By then you will be DEAD DEAD DEAD.
But so will the event's two comperes, Alex Zane of the MTV telly, and Anthony Crank from T4, with the former representing in London, the latter in Manchester. How the doodle will they stay awake?
