I mean this with specific referrence to music
post-Indelicates album
what are we now looking forward to?
I'm quite intrigued by the upcoming Martha Wainwright and CSS albums, actually
I'll look out for them ;-)
I never got martha wainwright
except for that song where she swears about her dad - that's good
neither did I, but her cover of Stormy Weather on that Rufus sings Judy thing was mind blowingly good
and CSS are too happy party music for me
I hate happy parties
I like goth parties
where everyone sits down and cries
batman
that's a film
not an album
CHAT FAIL
self-five
sparks new album
You took the words right out of my mouth (and Kristy's, I'm betting), with that title...
stuart thing on radio two played a sparks track this evening - it was just like a sparks track
well, that's a relief!
i like 'Beat the Clock'
...And I love goth parties too, but there tends to be lots of drugs imbibed and too much talk of going on to Slimelight (with no follow-through), rather than very much crying; usually gets a bit random, rather than weepy.
but that's the only one I really know
it did not disappoint - unless you wanted it to be different or something
aah i should listen
i got the last album
and wasn't a massive fan
listen to propaganda too
they're like Smog though
the a capella intro is amazing
prolific that it's hard to know where to start
or is that cars
so prolific, that is
"This-town-ain't-big-en-ough-for-the-both-of-us!"
As for Propaganda, the 12" of Dr Mabuse is to die for...
stuart thing said they are doing 21 dates, and on each date they will play one of their albums right through live
in chronological order
so they are a circus act as well as a band
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNJ0dbCVXng
what date was that?
All this Web 2.0 talking-at-cross-purposes stuff is getting me confused...
well i was talking about sparks propaganda
cos timc had not enough sparks reference points
this town was awesome too
...Well, yeah - I know THAT much; it's the stuff about dates that has my head in a minor spin.
sparks - playing live
21 dates
one for each of the albums
Wondered why you were asking about the date, when you were announcing the tour. Which sounds awesome, by the way!
it was the date of dr mabuse i was wondering
Ach, alles klar! 1984 or thereabouts, if memory serves me correctly.
i am now lost in a sparks-fest on u-tueb
something for the girl with everything
which sums most of us up these days
Everything but the girl at the moment...which is an annoyance.
leave off the brut - try hai karate
Has to be something classic...some form of eau de dodgy uncle!
Have you found any ads for Hai Karate on YouTube? They're right up there with the seventies ads for Fry's Turkish Delight...
Game on!
