Ok, so it's official and it's not a bug. I started to laugh loudly like they tried some stuffs and ended melting their search engine queries with google maps. But ... if it's the house's policy there must be a rational reason... which I don't get yet as me being simple build robot .

by the way I didn't want to send the message three times but I'm quite happy with the final effect. (error message : " your message can't be send " or whatever)

people and music happen in places. we want to be able to help other people find them.

Ok but if I want to tell you about This Band' concert that day in Stuff Street, Someton I give you the adress and you look for it. You can't type the adress in the search bar can you ? So from my point of view the tag information : Someton that links to google maps is irrelevant.

Perhaps playlouder gets paid every time a search is done on google maps from the site ? Perhaps there's a deal : google provides his search technology and play louder put links to some google services ?

if it's a venue on stuff street we intend to let people add a point on the map so others can easily find it

playlouder does not get paid by for searches on google maps, and our geographic data will work with most internet mapping systems

google make it very easy to put a map in the page

i think we should let people add whatever they want

if we can find good venue data we would add that to save people time

we have not yet made the bit of code that lets you choose your preferences, so you have to select public content and chat rather than just see it by default

again the search can be filtered if people want it to be

or we could make something which says 'never show me anything from this user'

so you could choose to filter out mr macdonald, unless you want to know where to find one of his restaurants
